The grease on a coiled metal mainspring thickens and hardens in cold weather, preventing it from delivering maximum velocity and energy.

Besides the great powerplant, the Quattro trigger will also help you get maximum accuracy from your breakbarrel air rifle. Triggers with heavy pulls or unpredictable let-offs result in poor results downrange.
